In line with its commitment to champion financial and investment literacy and promote financial independence in the country, InvestCorp organized its first sensitization forum at the Ghana Police Training Academy on November 18, 2020. The forum was on the subject “Being Financially Independent” and was organized for recently graduated recruits to fortify them with financial knowledge as they embark on their new journeys as Police Officers.
The forum covered various topics including the creation, maintenance and sustenance of wealth, financial discipline, development of a positive attitude towards investing, key factors for consideration when making an investment decision, alignment of investment products to financial objectives, investment return projections and regular assessment of financial goals/targets amongst other pertinent points.
The forum was extremely interactive with an audience of 131 recruits, who shared their concerns and views on the various topics and asked relevant questions to address these concerns. The responses from our team were backed with solid data and boosted the confidence of the recruits in their decision making in relation to their finances. The vision, henceforth, is to set up partnerships with various training colleges and academies across the country to train recruits to be financially independent.
In the case of the Ghana Police Training Academy, InvestCorp seeks to create a tradition of training to shape the financial values and actions of the recruits that come through this noble academy.
